Mountaintown Trout, a huge supporter of the club, recently hosted a non-profit event put together by Project Healing Waters. This organization strives to use fly fishing as a treatment for physical and mental disabilities among veterans. Their slogan says it all, “Healing those who serve.”
We were fortunate enough to send our President’s Assistant to this opportunity as a guide. March 19, 2022, Robert Pritchard, one of Mountaintown Trout’s guides, went to participate in this event. Robert teamed up with one of the guides at Mountaintown Trout in order to cover as much water in such little as possible.
“The best part about guiding this trip was to hear all of experiences the veterans got to go through. Encounters, such as this, are what truly make it interesting to meet new people beside a beautiful river.” -Robert Pritchard
“…Robert kept a close eye on my stability while in the river as well as when I was entering and exiting river beds. I felt safe, honored, and cared for throughout the outing.” -Donald Cyprain. A quote about our member.
